Quinta Nova – a dream for wine lovers<\/h1>\n

Long known only for port or the famous Madeira, Portuguese wine is slowly but surely gaining an ever-growing fan base. The Douro Valley in particular, where the vines thrive wonderfully on terraces with slate subsoil, produces outstanding wines.<\/p>\n

But it’s not just grapes that feel at home here in the north of Portugal. At the Hotel Rural, on the Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo wine estate, everything is done to ensure that you feel just as comfortable.<\/p>\n

The Hotel Rural was the first wine hotel in Portugal in 2005. Integrated into an 18th century manor house, it blends harmoniously into the landscape and offers an impressive view over the entire valley. As a guest here, you not only have the opportunity to follow the hustle and bustle of a traditional winery up close. The picturesque backdrop of northern Portugal also offers you the opportunity to go on short or long excursions.<\/p>\n

Every evening, you can reflect on the impressions you have gathered in the restaurant attached to the hotel or in the excellently stocked wine bar. Afterwards, you will be happy and content in one of the 11 comfortable rooms, where a restful night’s sleep awaits you. After all, the next eventful day is just around the corner.<\/p>\n
